Using another's computer at present. Yep, I drove WOT to the end of the track each time. Sunday had 25kph headwinds that really took their toll on performance. No probs with anyone other than the spectator who carved up the dirt carpark and showered comp's vehicles with stones. Just was well the Police were there. The idiot was arrested for his own protection!!
Managed to get the launch good enough for kind words from the PA system.
Fuel consumption on the strip was 48ltr/100km about 5.X mpg(imperial). Cost for the week-end was about Au$1.5k including fuel, food, trailer hire, camp site fees and (50% of) veh preparation maintenance.
The comentary said I was real old school and had no chance of being the fastest BUT had the most comfortable ride!!
The daughter's ex broke a gearbox on the dyno and then did it again on the track 3 days later. He needs to build it tougher!!
And a real high note was Ms M1FF who had so much fun that she wants to arrive earlier and leave later next year.
Think about that all the Ms out there!!

How Thick do you like your foam, sir?
That is some thick stuff.
Replacement in - Driver's side
Passenger side - Fire Ex using seat mounts
Nice improvement.
My crew (no relatives), Ms M1FF (token cheesecake) and some old guy who wandered past
Uniforms rear view
That old guy is getting a little close to your car!
Last: Not even the fastest on the day:
But it sure looks menacing.

NOW the daughter wants to enter her Mach1 next year.
Already put in for leave for the 2016 event.
I shall take my DD E38 with a no muffler exhaust. I have it running like that now. I find every excuse to move it around the workshop. That sound never gets old!!
Still not going to be the fastest car BUT WHO CARES!! We are there for fun! I'm still grinning about that weekend.

2016 - cancelled by a council who disregarded their contract.
2017 - Will be held in Albany 400km south east of Perth, March 4-6. On their airfield, 3 day event. Albany (already a tourist destination) loved the idea and made it easy to organise. My supervisors made sure I could have the time off.
I am not competing as the entries opened and were fully subscribed while was on a night shift or sleeping in the day. I'm going with most of my crew from '15 with Ms M1FF's shirt as a remberance. The crew love that idea.
Pictures will be posted, I will probably take one of my DD 735iL BMW's. A long lazy drive. The Daimler Club President has property down there he is letting me use for free. One of my 'stripper' Daimlers came from down there so I might drop in on that bloke and show him some pictures.

Thanks for the update and the pictures!
It is amazing how much money one has to sink into participating in such events. But the main point is that you had a good time.

I like the picture of the one with the blower, I'm thinking he needs several more nuts and bolts before I'm going to be afraid of challenging him. LOL. I take it, it's a work in progress? Glad all went well, this year. JTS 71 Mach1
