I am prepping 2 of my cars for this event.
I have entered my E34 and E38 BMWs. The Facebook site features my E34. No idea why. Maybe to convince everyone they have nothing to beat.
Why not enter the Mustang? It's not mine to break, that would bring down the wrath of my daughter. I get scared just thinking about that.
I only have minor work to do for the event. I'll keep you posted.

It's a Drag style event on an 1.5km airstrip (tarmac). You have to do the 400m and 800m events to be allowed in for the 1km run. No prizes, just a time ticket to frame at the end of the day.
It's a weekend event so I will be there Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. I have already booked the time off work (April 11 and 12) and now gathering a small crew. My partner (Ms M1FF) is coming and maybe the daughter too, if her study time permits.
I won't be the fastest but I will be having more fun than any one else!!
It will cost me about $3k for the event but about 50% of that cost is vehicle preparation which is really servicing and repairs which I would have to do anyway. This just brings it forward.
I will keep you all posted. With some pictures.

Shall do. I'll put up some pix of (visible) mods and will scan and post time slips, even though I know I won't be the fastest, and slower than some road legal Mustangs

Started the repair prep now. Both front seats sent in for (overdue) retrim.
Defective glove box catch replaced.
Removing front carpet destroyed by some idiot previous owner. OEM replacement from a local wrecker.
Have to get it 'up together' for pre-race inspection. I work on the principle that if it looks like it should pass you are half way there. If they find anything 50/50 and the car looks smart then you MIGHT get the benefit of the doubt.

Cool I always love getting one ready. To drive it like you stole it. Which I pretty much do all the time.
When I get one ready I try to worry about the big stuff, Engine, Trans, Chassis, Brakes, Steering. Things that if not up to snuff, could make you have a really "Bad Day"! And no one wants to have a "Bad Day", especially when exercising there Pony!!!
Good LUCK! JTS 71 Mach1
