Hey everyone, have just registered to the club, my husband and I own a 1972 mach1 fastback,we purchased in perth 2 years ago, just been doing last little things before it goes for inspection for licensing, been having touble with indicator signals, got on google and found a thread from the club someone had posted with our exact problem, glad to be amongst people who know what they are talking about and could possibly give some advice if required. I have attached a pic of our car, not the best, but its a start, thanks all.
Hi Mrs Mach, Welcome from another Perthling newbie. My daughter has a '70 Mach 1, 351c. We are members of the VCC(WA) so we get $40/yr rego and NO Stamp Duty. PM me if you want to know more about that. Do you need a hand with the indicator problem?.
Welcome to the site Mrs. Mach! I like your 72 Mach 1...it is very sharp. Tell us a little more about the turn switch problem. Do the turn signals not work at all? It could be one of a few small things or possibly just a new switch is all that it needs.
thanks everyone, we have turn signals working, thanks to a post I read on here we found the signal module up under glovebox, got all indicators working woohoo!! got permit took for drive, lost them all over again!! the issue now seems to be the fuse keeps blowing, my husband believes its a short somewhere causing the fuse to go all the time, next job is to find where the short is! spent 20hrs over the weekend doing the indicators, hence I didn't bother asking too many questions lastnight, lol,
now I know I could easily take car to auto electrician and be done with it, but not always, and at least by us researching and reading the correct manuals we are learning something!! Was great to take for drive as running new motor in, that's another story lol, thanks everyone!!
That short drive will go a long way as a fix for the twenty hours working on it. Here's hoping the short will be easy to find and you all can get back out there and drive!
