I got a question about the rear seats,
#1
How do I take those out because I need to disconnect the black wire which leads to the taillights (I think) in my '73 Mach 1 Fastback. I need to do that in order to take out the center console panel above the transmission to access rust damage. Thanks

There are two type of Mach 1 seats. The regular seat and the fold down style.

Both are pretty straight forward. The bottom part of the regular seat should unclip from the floor. Push in about where your feet would be if you are sitting on one side and lift up. Once you pull that bottom piece out you will see two screws that hold the top portion down. Once you remove those screws the top portion should lift off of hooks and come free.

On the fold-down model it is just a matter of chasing the various attachment screws.

No factory wire run under the back seats
Wiring to the tail lights runs thru the channel on top of the drivers side rocker panel.
Full floor console wiring comes out of the bottom of the dash to the console- there is a 3 prong plug at the front edge of the console.

Yeah, I thought it was the rear lights but it looks to be going to the speakers on the side instead.
