Stumbled across the forum today and I had to join. I currently own a 71 convertible "Mach 1 Tribute". It is a 351c 4v with a 4 speed and has been painted/striped to look like a Mach 1. I'm also currently working on closing a deal on a "real" 71 Mach 1 so hopefully I'll soon be a true Mach 1 owner.
Here's a pic:

Welcome,
Very nice tribute car! It is amazing how many people think any 71-73 Mustang can be called a Mach 1. If Ford would have made a Mach 1 in the 03 (convertible) body code, it would have been yours. A 351 4V with a 4 speed!
Here's hoping that you will be able to work the deal on the "real" Mach 1 but regardless you are welcomed here.

I'm not a big fan of convertibles but yours done up faithfully like a Mach1, very nice indeed. Good luck acquiring the real one, but I sure wouldn't be ashamed of the vert.

That is a REALLY good looking tribute car. I like the color combo and the 'vertible look goes real well with it. I bet it's a ton of fun to drive too! Good luck on your other one - hope you get it!
