1970 Mach 1 from Norway
#1
Hello guys!
I'm a proud owner of a 1970 Mach 1 that i bought last summer.
Had a 67 hardtop before this one, but found out that the 1970 Mach 1 was the car of my dreams.

Short intro of my car:
Sold new in Ontario Canada in march 1970.
Came to Norway during the summer of 1970 as import.
During the 70's, 80's and 90's the car changed owner several times and in 1994 it was totally restored and repainted in Grabber Blue. Original color is Dark Ivy Green Metallic with medium Ivy Green interior.
After the restoration the car was one of the most winning Mustangs in Norway for years to follow. And i won 1st price in a show last summer :)
Im the 21st owner and the car looks as good as it did in 1970/1994 or even better :)

Except for some upgrades on the engine and in the engine compartment the car looks original.

Technical specs:
Built at Metuchen
351-4V Cleveland
4 speed wide ratio manual
3.25 Traction-Lok Rear Diff
Options:
Black hood stripe
Power front disc breakes
Tachometer

Here are a few pictures of my car:

PS: the Mach 1 emblem on the trunk is removed and replaced with an original emblem and black stripes.

Best Regards

Welcome Trygve,

It is obvious why your Mach 1 is a show winner. Very sharp car.

It looks like it has definitely been well cared for.

Do you plan to drive it much or is it more of an investment / show car?

Hi Steven,

Yes and no Biggrin
I will use it as much as i can and as long as the weather allow me to drive. In other words as long as the sun is shining i will take it for a ride during the summer time here in Norway. And that is from now until late september/october. Then the Winter is comming and the car is stored in a safe place.
I will not use it as a show car only, but will attend some shows just for fun. And i will try to keep the car looking good Biggrin

Great looking 70! Looks like an award winner to me! Wow, that's a lot of owners. Have you met any of the earlier owners?

Since 1994 the car had 5 owners before me. And I've only met the previous owner who had the car for 8 years.
A man in his best age who bought another 2005 Mustang and did not have room for the Mach 1 in his garage.
He have spent over $25 000 on the car including a "new" engine built on an original block.
He said it became a disease spending so much money on the car Biggrin

And now i feel like I got the legacy to take care and maintain this car Thumbup

Here are some pictures i took before i sold the 67 HT
