Wow. And I thought mine looked bad on Day One.
I wish we were closer (making an assumption, based on the snow) - I have some fenders, a hood, a rear cut-out valance, and front valance that would make your life a lot easier (only needing minor work, as opposed to what you have).
The repop stuff Don offers is not bad... really. I think mine could be a poster child for just about every repop panel so far produced for our Clydesdales. Mine has repop:
Fenders
Front Valance
Rear Cut-Out Valance
Quarter Panels
Tail Light Panel
Trunk Lid
Floor Pans (both sides)
Rear Seat Intermediate Panel (passenger side)
Trunk Floor Pan
Trunk Drop-Offs
Rear Crossmember
Front Bumper Brackets
and a Rear Shock Crossmember from a '69-'70
Am I missing anything Don?

Thanks for the comments. Your car looks great (now). I found a place that has complete (original) front clips. After I pull the motor and trans and take a REALLY good look at the extent of the rust / bent metal I'll make a decision on what to do there. How bad is all of your old sheet metal and where exactly are you located? I'm not opposed to driving a considerable distance to pick things up. The pictures of the car were taken in NY (where the car sat for the last 5+ years) but I'm in Connecticut. I drove out to Muncie, Indiana a few years ago for a model airplane contest.
I just looked at your album. That car came out great! I really appreciate the fact that you did almost everything yourself. My father used to have a friend who "restored" Model A Fords with his sons and one day he asked him how he was able to do a restoration so fast. His reply was: "Well I take the engine to the machine shop and the body to this guy and then the interior to..." Great father and son project. Basically "Dad" came up with the $$ and the sons just drove around and delivered / picked up parts. The projects that my father and I did involved both of us cutting, welding, wrenching and best of all LEARNING. Big difference. My dad is gone now but I still feel confident that I can do something like this.

Oh wow. Unfortunately, I'm in San Angelo, Texas. That's quite a drive.
I could easily ship the valances - I still have the boxes the repops came in, actually. The fenders... would be a challenge. The hood... a big challenge.
The valances are actually quite good, and would just need some 'body shop guy' love to get them pretty much perfect (I just ran out of time, caved, and ordered the repops. The fenders have typical 'front end' crunches and repairs, but I think would be usable for the right guy. The hood has some damage up front as well, but again could be spared with the right guy doing it. I'll get some pics if you're at all interested.
Thanks for the kind words... it's been a haul, that's for sure. Pretty much the only things I haven't done myself are engine machine work (of course), 'blasting the front clip and other sheet metal pieces this past summer, and the paint. I've been fortunate so far in that most of the tasks have been within my skill level (having gotten progressively better along the way, I admit). I just didn't have the facility to 'blast the big stuff myself, otherwise I would've done that as well.

By front clip do you mean the frame rails, shock tower section? with or without cowl?
Or the fenders hood grille assy

Frame rails shock towers, etc. What I have is repairable but the amount of time it will take almost justifies the cost of buying the whole clip. It will probably be easier to align a complete clip vs. all of the individual pieces too.
I see that Dynacorn has complete quarter panels for '71-'73 cars now. Is that true? I tried calling you last week but you were busy. I'll try again later this week.

Quick update. I'm in the process of re-finishing my garage so that I can work on the car in a nice, clean, organized place. I'm taping the walls now but I should be ready to paint in a few weeks. Then I can install the new benches and cabinets. Once that's done I'm going to pull the engine and trans. out of the car and then strip out the old interior so that I can see the full extent of the rust. After that comes the joyful task of cataloging and storing all of the parts. I probably won't be having any real fun (cutting and welding) until Fall/Winter. Don't worry, I'll take lots of pictures.

Hey JRP, thanks for the update! It is important to have a good clean, dry, and organized work area for the restoration project. That is the same thing I did but I wish I had more space for additional shelving so it would be easier to locate things when I am looking for them. Keep that in mind. Good luck and keep us updated on the progress!

Yes, it's amazing how much space a car occupies when you take it apart. I have a secret weapon though: a clean, dry storage shed with electrical service (lights). Almost as good as a barn.

That's awesome...wish I could say the same! As organized as I think I am it is amazing every time I need a part I can't locate it. I am sure that is common problem amongst all of us. Maybe that is a separate thread in itself.

Sounds like a proper plan.
As they say, a good end product is all about preparation.
