SSig_welcome4 Sounds like a great car but, Be careful saying even the 8 track works. Next thing you know that will be the "next big thing", and you won't be able to get one of them either! Not that you really wanted one? Seriously Welcome jump in anytime there's a lot of good people here. JTS 71 Mach1

Hahaha

I found an original with the "mustang" door about 10 yrs ago on ebay for $12 and picked it up. Cost me $14 to ship but all it needed was a belt. Went to a local tv repair shop and he happened to have 5 of the belts and he only charged me $1 for them all.

Nothing like cruising with Pink Floyd "DSOTM" on 8-track with the single speaker.....good times

Welcome3
Thanks for making "the obligatory 1st post" just need to verify who's real and who's an internet robot. It also helps some that wouldn't normally make a post do so because accounts are removed if they register and dont make a post in 72 hours, so once it breaks the ice we hope members like being here. My hope would be to have Mach1Club.com be an online museum for all things Mach 1 and 71-73 Mustangs in general so don't be shy about adding anything you think could be useful to the members here.

Thanks for the welcome!

I will have to get some cool pics posted.....just have to find them first. SCo_hmmthink

I will try to put some up in correct forum in the next day or two, along with the "story" of my find.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Hello from Vermont. Black with white interior - paint code "A", trim code 1W or 5W (from the factory) is a scarce combination. Black with white deluxe interior - 281 units... Black with white standard interior - 95 units... and these numbers include BOTH standard sportsroof, AND mach-1's. Would love to see pics. GXRWow

I know it is a true "A" paint code from the door data tag and the factory invoice I have. The trim code if I'm not mistaken was 1W standard white interior.

I'll look for the invoice and post up a pic when I find it.
