I know 2 1/2" dual tips specific to the 69 Mach 1's are hard to locate. Alternatively, you can try a 2 1/2" to 2 1/4" exhaust pipe reducer or use an exhaust pipe expansion tool to modify the tips to accommodate your 2 1/2" pipes. I am guessing the flow restriction would be minimal with the dual tips. Hopefully, there is a manufacturer out there that produces the correct 2 1/2" dual tip exhaust but unfortunately I do not know who...sorry. Possibly Ohio Mustang may know.
There was a guy on Ebay selling them. I'd send you a link, but Ebay is a banned web site on my work computer. I'll look tonight when I get home if you haven't found it.
Thanks for your help. My valance will accept the tiny quads with the 2 1/4 inch slipover size but not the larger quads with the 2 1/2 slip over. There is only 4 inches available on the valance and the smallest 2 1/2 that I can find is 5 1/2 inches. In addition, it hits the rear leaf spring hanger bolt. That is a good idea to modify a stock quad but I am not comfortable with a restriction, although it might make no difference in terms of performance.
I invented a new exhaust look, by accident. I took it by a shop which restores classic cars. They have some very expensive cars in there. They have a reality TV series in the works and have filmed 8 episodes.
They loved it. "I have never seen it before", the owner Rich said.
I'll post a picture tomorrow.
Here is a pic of the muffler tip setup. The pic is dark but you might see the offset rectangular tip under the upper tip which is located in the valance. The exhaust exited out the lower tip. It looked cool as hell but it was not to be.
The location caused fumes in the cabin and the valance was burning so I removed them today.
I installed 2 Flowmaster 302 stainless 3 inch outlet, angled non rolled exhaust tips.
It looks fantastic. The muffler shop did a great job. The edge of the tips we're touching the rear leaf spring bolts preventing proper centering. The guy hit it with a torch for a few seconds the other guy pushed the pipe over and made a sweet little dimple. They clear just fine. The tips have the right depth and are centered perfectly. Tomorrow I will post pics, this time with the sun shining on the rear of the car so you can see them.

I'm not seeing the 2.5 inch extensions on Ebay anymore.
