It was solely a matter of your time till someone did this, and these days it with great care happens to be the crew over at Edmunds. In one corner the all-new Chevrolet corvette stingray, and within the alternative is the Ford pony Shelby GT500. Now, you’ll be thinking that they ar 2 entirely differing types of superior cars, however at the tip of the day they’re each pure American H.P. greatness. The new corvette comes high-powered by an additionally new 6.2-liter V8 with 455 HP whereas the acquainted Shelby GT500 packs a supercharged 5.8-liter V8 with 662 H.P.

I think you may be making a rather unfair comparison: entry-level Corvette to top-o-the-line Mustang.
Mustang GT (422 HP?) matches up favorably to the 445- horse 'Vette.
And the two big-dog Vette motors agsinst the GT 500 is a more fair match up.

I am going to stay away from any heated arguments so I am just going to say this...my loyalty is with Ford (and that Shelby is way cooler looking).

i don't know if i like the design they have for the new stingray it just doesn't quite live up to the name ..... besides if you wanna pit the gt500 up against a vet you should choose the ZR1

I like the shelby but if you want to compare them try the top of the line camaro.... whatever that model is?? ( i dont speak chevy!
) And the top of the line Mustang. For all intents and purposes the corvette isnt even the mustangs main competitor. We can wheel out the shelby gt1000! Over 1000hp in a street car! that would be fun!!
