1971 Grabber Lime

I came across a 1971 Mach 1 a few weeks ago that just brought back many memories of my High School years. I picked it up and couldn't be happier with the purchase. My younger boys love muscle cars and we often go to car shows to look, but we can now go and participate. It's an off frame restoration.

Looks great...you will have a ton of fun in that car!

An observation: the rear spoiler is on backwards. No big deal though...just unbolt the pedastals from inside the trunk and turn the whole thing around.

Good observation. I just searched like mad and most pictures do have the spoiler reversed. It must be a common mistake as I saw a bunch on backwards like mine.

Yes, it is an unbelievably common mistake. The fat, rounded edge of the spoiler should face forward while the flat, blade-like edge faces rearward. For some reason, many people erroneously think the flat edge should "cut" into the wind, but that is not how an aircraft wing works.
No big deal. Should take you all of 5-10 minutes total to correct it.

A liitle trivia about the factory rear wing: It was claimed by Ford to give up to 60lbs of downforce at freeway speeds, and over 100 at dragstrip speeds. I'm not sure I believe that though, considering Ford did no wind tunnel testing on the car.
