I will keep it in mind Don, not sure I'm going to do that. As I mentioned I dont want adding performance stuff to create issues.
Probably going to need a few other things from you first.
A new issue just arose I was driving down the highway last night and my headlights kept going off and on.

I have a copy of what Don has and a Holley carb.
I don't recall the size and can't give you personal evaluation as I have yet to drive the car. Don was kind enough to recommend me to a fellow enthusiast who was upping his performance and passed along his tuned Holley to me!
The upgrade cannot hurt the motor as Ford all ready figured all of that into the original 351C package. Your Grande's calling card is it's originality so that would be my concern - maintaining the "Grandma from Pasadena" image.
The light issue sounds like a dirty connection and my first suspicion would be the dimmer switch and connection.
I have to agree that being different aspect is worth the price of admission. Enjoy the ride!

Well I don't really care about the originality of this car other than the fact that the interior is nearly perfect, lets be real its never really going to be worth to much in the grand scheme.
My plan is to make it a great driver. Since it runs good I'm just not sure a motor with 104k miles on it really needs an intake and 4bbl carb. I'm not wanting to rebuild this motor any time soon.
This is the plan.
Get everything working correctly, like all the external engine parts, cooling system, alternator, power steering, ac and heater core. Which I've pretty much done. AC and heater core not completed yet
Change the split seam seats with some good quality vinyl seats. add dual exhaust with the cut out rear valance. Add a dynacorn Nasa hood (going to need the hood snorkel parts if anyone has them) add some Magnum 500 wheels (who has the best quality of these wheels anyone know??) and new tires, remove the white vinyl top and then paint the car close to its original color, I'm thinking 78 Trans Am Solar gold with heavy clear and the Mach 1 black stripe kit, add the 71-72 Mach 1 grill and marker lights.
I figure Ill have about 7500-9500 into the car when I'm done, give or take. So now I have a decent looking car that runs good with AC that I can enjoy for the next 10-15k miles and then dump it for what Ill have in it. Or trade it for something else down the line.
Having the Shelby GT500 helps me with my fast need for speed urge, but I just love having an old Mustang, since I probably cant afford my 69-70 Mach 1, I'm fixing an old Mustang up and waiting for the new Mach 1 on the horizon.
I'm also looking for a 71-73 Mustang turn signal switch at the moment. It works fine if I'm turning left, but I have to hold it if I'm turning right. Any suggestions here?

Joe
there are 4 turn signal switches
71-2 and 73 then tilt or fixed column
They are on back order not - we suspect an issue with the tooling
I can do a complete repro ram air set up for 530.00
Used original 1400.00
Don
Wheels - both companies have issues
Summit racing usually has the best price
Dynacorn just came out with a 17 inch aluminum magnum version wheel

My immediate needs are.
Nasa Hood and hood snorkel piece inserts not really ram air, the
dynacorn or goodmark hoods don't come with the finishing pieces.
Mach 1 grill and parking lights
Honeycomb rear panel with chrome pieces
Maybe Magnum 500 wheels, because quality seems poor I might go with Torque Thrust II's
Need turn signal switch for 72 NON tilt, got any suggestions where I can get this switch??
And led bulbs for the dash

Joe if you have a place to pick up parts - I'm bowing out as the shipping would kill any deal

I hear ya Don. You have a few pieces on ebay I'm watching and I already bought the rear valance from you I'm waiting on. I'm sure Ill buy some more stuff from you soon anyway. Do you know if there is any quality difference in the Goodmark or Dynacorn hoods?
