I can still remember walking home from highschool as a freshman and walking by a cool looking 69 mustang coup. It was mist blue and detailed to the hilt with a 390 stuffed in the engine bay. It had those keystone classic wheels on it and looked phenominal to say the least.
The owner had put Mach 1 interior in it but used the deluxe (BOSS 429) style seat patterns with the comfort weave vinyl for the seat covers.
I always loved that body style.
One day the owner gave me a ride in it and he told me that he had 488 gears in it with that 4 speed top loader.(detroit locker rear end).
When he took off he scared the crap out of me really bad. We were sideways around an industrial complex in an empty parking lot. From that day on I had to have a mustang. I was hooked.
