Yep good article. He hit on 90% of the main trouble spots. One thing he didn't mention was the human element. The guy that cuts wires and splices into wires, with out having a clue as to, load capacity, connections, "scotch locks" etc. Which can cause all kinds of troubles. He also forgot to mention "critters". It's amazing how many things can effect the electrical system. JTS 71 Mach1

Good point Jack, the carelessness of previous owners and those critters can both wreck havoc in amazingly harmful ways.

Aaah, Scotch-Locs: The Bodger's Buddy.
Designed for the inept and abused by them.
They have their (limited) uses but have limitations.
In the glove box for a 'broken wire - get you home fix' but I dont consider them a long (or even medium) term fix.
