I picked this up a few years ago and was wondering if anybody might remember ever seeing one? I can't find any information on the web. It is a AM transistor radio in the shape of a tyre advertising ESSO tyres. Sorrry about the photo but it is the only one I have on the computer at the moment. I guess it is from the late 60's or early 70's?

Interesting!
I don't think the U.S. had the ESSO brand but then I may be wrong as my knowledge of U.S. products only goes back so far.
I know we that we don't use tyres here but we do have tires.
Anyone else able to give Steve O a hand and help him dial this question in?
Neat item anyway - thanks for sharing.

There was an ESSO brand fuel in the 60's I can remember, but not tires. I've seen tires used in unusual ways but never a radio. Like Steven said pretty neat. JTS 71 Mach1

I remember the ESSO gas stations well here in the mid-Atlantic states back in the 0's early 70's then they changed to EXXON. I don't recall seeing ESSO tires.
