A company called Jatech has developed an innovative car door that folds under the car given easy access for both the driver and passengers. A car with doors like this would be perfect for small garages where it’s difficult to park two cars.

I have actually seen this somewhere. It looks like a great Idea. The only drawback I see, is in a real bad rain storm. It takes several seconds for the door to open and close, window and all. Which is going to let in a ton of water, and expose more of the interior as well. Guess you would just have to learn to adapt. JTS 71 Mach1

Hello from Germany,
this reminds me of the BMW Z1. Very nice car and a classic now. You can actually drive it with open doors.
As you can see in the video, the only drawback is the huge gap on one must climb to the seat.
But whether this is really a disadvantage you have to decide for yourself
