Thank you for the pictures...I agree, the fitment looks good. I would take the door fitment on you car to the bank any day. Do you know the manufacturer of your doors or where you purchased from?
By the way, I am digging your "calico" Mach. I love the restoration phase of a car. When I look at a car like yours I always see it finished and going down the road.
Great work!

Here is a picture of my 69 Mach (the reason why I joined the club). I know everyone in the club enjoys pictures. I will be tackling this project soon. No better feeling than saving an ol' Mustang from the bone yard. Any and all advice is welcomed and appreciated!!

MIKE
I BOUGHT THE DOORS FROM VIRGINIA MUSTANG AROUND 2004 I THINK. THIS IS WHEN THEY FIRST CAME OUT WITH THE 69*70 DOOR SHELLS. I THINK YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH GET THESE FROM ANY OF THE PARTS VENDORS NOW. WHERE DID YOU COME ACROSS YOUR CAR AT? LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVE AN EXCELLENT STARTING POINT. WHAT COLOR, ENGINE/TRANSMISSION WILL IT END UP WITH?

Thank you for the information on doors. I bought the car off e-bay which I was reall nervous about. I was very fortunate the seller described the condition of the car very well so there were no surprises when it was delivered. Most importantly to me, the front and rear frame rails are solid! However, the car will still need some rear quarter panel work, a cowl, battery apron and passenger side door. Basically, the typical rust issues for Mustangs. Overall the car is ver solid.
The car itself is a 69 "S" code 390 fully loaded with a/c, p/s, disc brakes and tinted windows. My plans are to keep it as original as possible except I will swap out the automatic tranny for a 4 speed manual transmission. The car was originally champagne gold with black out hood treatment but I may go with a different color.

Your car looks great. If after market doors were used on your restoration the result looks awesome!! I have heard so many stories about poor fitment of after market doors. I searched for nearly 2 years to find a set of solid original doors for my 66 fastback. I do not want to go through that pain again. Remember, most (not all) of the parts people are selling are parts not being used on their own restoration projects so the condition is often not that great. With that said, I will be purchasing an after market passenger door for my 69 Mach. Thanks for the pictures....and the encouragement!
