Started my 73 mach today and noticed the tach wasn't working. It has always worked before? Any guidance?

My 73 does not have a Tach, but I've seen this issue before. There are several threads here on the site about the problem, rather than me list them here, click on the Search icon above and search for "Tach" using titles only. Hopefully you can find some help in one of those threads.
Good Luck!

My tach quits working once in a while and i just smack the dash a few times and it starts working again.

Mine did the same thing. I took it out and sent it to Rocketman's Classic Cougar Innovations and he converted it to a 3 wire tach.
