The rest of my ToyBox.......

Thought I would share my other 2 vehicles. They will never be a Mach 1 but still I kinda like them :)

The first is the first car I ever purchased. It's a 1978 Pontiac Grand Lemans.

When I first purchased it 15+ yrs ago it had 26,000 KM's on it, V6 powered, typical old ladies car (which it was purchased from and she was the original owner) This is the first picture ever taken of it

The day before I purchased the 70 Mach I was coming home from Ottawa (after looking at a P.O.S truck) and the motor EXPLODED!!!! Blew a hole in 2 pistons and made a mess of everything else. Guess everything happens for a reason though cause if the truck was good I won't have purchased the Mach and probably if the motor didn't explode I may not of purchased the Mach either.

Anyways now its V8 Powered (Chev 350) T350 Trans (wish it was a 4-speed Man) Headers w/dual exhaust, posi w/3:73 gears. Not the quickest car in the world (bet its gonna feel REALLY slow after driving the 04 Mach) but I still like it and because its my first ever car it would be the last car I sold if I ever had to sell something.

Next is a car I purchased just before I purchased the 04 Mach in the summer of 1998. I wasnt looking for another vehicle but I just couldn't pass it up. It's a 1981 Pontiac Lemans

Ya I am insane LOL I purchased it from the original owner (another old ladies car) its got 50,000 km's on it and is so close to being 100% original. Great thing about it is it brings back memories of when I first drove my 78. SLOOOOOOW.......QUIET!!!!!!!!! LOL Not really sure what I will ever do with it but for now its going to stay as it is and the G/F can continue to drive it to shows & cruise Nights, that is when I build my garage bigger and I can bring both Lemans's home again LOL.

Couple more pictures of the pair together

It's hard not to appreciate any older car that has been taken care of. There is a lot of nostagia just looking at any older car. I always have a soft spot in my heart for Pontiacs too, my first car was a 64 Pontiac Bonneville, a 389, 4bbl carb, 4 speed auto (kind of rare). I believe it was 333 horsepower. Even though it was a 4 door it would hall. I had a 69 Firebird too. I sold it when I bought the 73 Mustang Covertible that I still have now.

Anyway nice looking Pontiacs.

Thanks for the comments. Thought it was funny when I put the Historic Plates on the 78. Almost got more attention when I did though cause people know its at least 30 yrs old then. Doubt either one of them will ever be valuable but if they were I probably wouldn't have them :) Helped a buddy install a 572 in his olds a couple months ago. I think it would be amazing to throw one at my 81 Lemans and leave everything else as it is. Just need to save a bunch of money.
