As mentioned in a earlier post , I took out my dash to redye and thought while it was out I would take the gauge cluster and clean it up . After taking it apart , I soon found out why our dash lights are so dim ,
( I do not remember them being that dim , when I own a new 69 )
The gauge lenes , were very badly scrached and dull , the bulb covers were black from the heat of the dash lights and I had 2 burnt bulbs.
I was going to install new LED bulbs but now think , dash lights will be much brighter , when I install new lenes and bulb covers . I will know in about a wk.
I also took the clock out and cleaned it real good , It actualy now runs but sticks just before it completes a full minute sweep . Hoping to fix that too.
