Well its been awhile. Work has been very hectic. Haven't had time for the 71 i have(that will be another thread) but i did just make a recent purchase.
It is a 72 mach 1 F code, numbers matching all original sheet metal. No rust,no major rust some surface rust. Original interior. Have extensive paperwork and the original factory manual.
Best i can tell from the paperwork i have it was last painted in '88. It is not show worthy paint job but ok.

Steve
Just 2. I pulled out of the deal the Qcode found. It was a chopped car. Had vin problems and i didn't want the hassle of it.
It might just be 1. Contemplating on my 71. I don't have the time for it and not sure when i will. As i got into it needs alot of body work. It is all fixable but not sure about it. I have gotten a few estimates from a couple of body shops close by and to get it to paintable stage would cost just about what i paid for this one. Then would have paint and alot of new interior parts. Not sure what i want to do. It was a buying experince that helped me with the current purchase. I could part it out and make most of my money back and keep some parts for the 72.
I am gonna drive the 72 as is for now. It needs a new exhaust system. It looks to be orignal and has some rust holes. Probably will replace the rear leaf springs also. Will work on the side panels in the back seat. Try to make them look a little nicer. It drives good and has some get up and go. It only has 2.79 rear end. Might upgrade that. If i decide to part out the 71 i will use that rear end. It has the 3.25 traction lock. Maybe over this coming winter i will get it into the paint shop and get a better paint job for it but for now just gonna drive it and enjoy it.

Thanks fells. Have been driving it the last couple of days and what a feeling! I feel young again. She runs smooth. It didn't take much to get her up to 80mph
