Interesting innovations here! Ford made the list too.

Good post. Cars are amazing again. With the Shelby on the way with 650HP and all the cool gadgets electronically, everyone should enjoy this stuff, not sure how long some of this stuff will last, at least the horsepower war.

Innovations - for sure.
I got stuck on the Ford floor at SEMA trying to wrap my mind around the technology in just the mechanical part of the Ford motors.
The more I saw the more I liked my 351C!

I am with you , if my 351 Windsor breaks down , at least it won't cost me a arm and a leg to fix it and better yet , I can generaly do a repair on the road. Geez , we have only what ? a set of points or a electronic Ignt , bad voltage regulator , maybe a bad starter . Fix it in a 1/2 hr and be gone. Todays cars require a million dollar computer :>) to just find out whats wrong with the car. No thank you , but then again , we really have no choice ! sooner or later we will have to own one.

I don't know - I keep finding nice choices on Craigslist nearly every day. Yesterday was a 1965 Falcon 2 - door wagon!

Yes but would you want to drive across this great Nation of ours with your family , with a old Falcon ? :>) I know there was a day when we would but when I think back , it kind of makes me shutter.

Very True.
But my thought was in restomod form. Basically completely rebuilt and updated but with technology I can still understand.

My kids don't believe that when I grew up our family did not have a car with air conditioning. In fact, I started driving in 1970, but did not own a car with A/C until the mid-80s. Of course I could always put the top down on my 73 convert back then.

This will date me but I learned how to drive at the ripe age of 10 . I got my driving lessons in a 49 Chevy Pk Up , floor starter , no radio , floor shift , no brakes persay , what a way to go. Todays cars and trucks make it look like a fossel . boy have we advanced in our lives.
