Good article! I have heard of these before; I think I saw one on a cable show a few years ago.

What is the date of the article? It would be almost impossible to find such a car today (2011) here in Mexico. When a classic is spotted it is almost always full of filler.

There is however a clean looking 73 convertible parked down the road. It sat forever in an empty lot in the weather with the top tore to shreds so I would have my doubts as to how solid the floor is. So far I have not been able to get the owners to talk sale.

This is an article from November 1983. I added because of the cool factor. Ive done a few searches online and there are a few of these cars around still.

I think you would enjoy a convert, keep trying!

Well I was finally able to meet Marcos the owner of the 73 Convertible and take a few pictures of his car. It has a FE series motor (not sure of the size), with a C-6. I also stopped by to take a picture of Pete's coupe (the only other big bodied Mustang here in town).

Keep trying Steven you might be a convertible owner one day. Stop in every week and ask......eventually you will wear them down Biggrin . The coupe looks rough.
