When I was in high school I wanted one of these trucks in the worst way. I couldn't get 800 bucks together to buy the one down the street from me where I lived, and it ran pretty good and was straight, my Dad didnt get it and just flat out refused to help me.

Get good grades son and Ill buy you a 1980 Thunderbird!

I've been watching the Mecum Auto Auctions for several years and could not believe what low prices the old pickups were bringing several years ago; even the nut and bolt total restorations. But recently I've noticed the prices are really getting up there.
