I traveled out to the U.S. this past week to send the family off on a trip to see family and friends a little farther north. While waiting on a friend who had loaned me the use of his car I stopped by to have a look at Jim Click Ford.
I was met by sales consultant Gregg "MAC" McNally and we had a look over the 2012 Mustang GT that they had displayed. Mac was kind enough to ask if I would like to take the GT for a spin to which I repeated that I was not there to buy, just to look. Generously, Mac gave me a run around the neighborhood.
I really enjoyed the opportunity. Thank you Mac.
The Mustang GT was a great car. I was surprised at how docile the 412 horsepower was in normal driving. I never "got on it" but I could tell it was there to use. The ride was nice and it was comfortable for my long frame. The engine bay was full but uncluttered. The only flaw that I found was the blatant "Made In China" printed on the spare tire rim. I could have gone all my life without seeing that.
I'll wait for the 2014 Mach 1 to surface before making any purchase and then I will have to wait till one of those ages enough to be affordable for me, but it was a nice car, a good ride and a great experience.
