There is a 56 Ford Crown vic for sale , no engine , no tranny , needs a total restoration inside and out. Sheet metal is fair but needs attention , like front frenders lower , rear fenders lower and doors lower . Floors are new and truck deck is new.
They are asking $4500.00 what your opinion

depends on how bad you want one and if you have another 10-20 K to put in it. Better off buying one that is complete.

If it was the Sunliner with the retractable top it might be worth it, but otherwise it sounds high without the engine/trans, but I'm no expert on those.

Turn it into a RaTRoD and enjoy the heck out it!
I sometimes feel jealous to see the attention parts thrown together get at the cruise ins.

There's a difference between the victoria and the crown victoria. The standard victoria is a regular hardtop. The crown vic has a wide band of stainless trim that runs from one "B" pillar, across the roof, and down the other "B" pillar. '55-'56 crown vics are scarcer and more desireable than the regular victorias and bring considerably more $. Some don't realize there's a difference.

If you really want a project and this is the style of car you want to build then I say make an offer :) Pretty sure I wouldnt pay 4500 for it but its also not my type of car. Should shot some pictures for us to view, might make it easier to put a value on it
