Looks like your making good progress. That's one job I would not attempt as I would probably screw it up. I debated with myself about trying to install the convertible top on my 73, but went ahead and had a shop do it.

After reading horror stories about head liner installations , I am going to have mine done by a shop . I don't have that much patience.

I've been thinking about creating a liner like the newer cars use so it can be covered with head liner material. to do away with the bows and the hassle. Anybody have any thoughts or ideas? JTS 71 Mach1

If you attempt it save your old windlace to hold the headliner in place as you work on it.I reglued the insulation back to the roof.they tell me there are 2 positions for the bows at each spot 1 for lower and 1 for upper(more clearance for the head).Start at the rear with the bows and dont move them from there location then glue the center front tight.I installed all the screws in the roof for the visors and will cut around them when done.

Looking good! Let us know how it progresses.
I did a headliner in my 1969 Mach 1 back in 1989. It turned out better than factory great and I don't remember it being that much of the horror stories I have heard about. Patience is more than likely the key.
