That's cool you drive a classic as a daily driver! It looks pretty solid! I always like the tail lights on the Cougars!

Do you have an automatic OD to get the 22 MPG? Nice daily driver!

Just a FMX, with a bone stock windsor. It does have a Holley 600 vac. secondaries. The 3.00 open rearend also helps. I try to stay out of the secondaries. Finally I keep it tuned up to stock spec.s & +2% initial timing. I run about 50% BP silver and 50% BP regular. It is a great driver on the open road.

Very cool Id drive it too maybe not as a daily driver.People find it hard to believe that a big car can get that kind of mileage. My 68 Galaxie gets low 20s also w/390 and FMX.

I think keeping it tuned correctly really helps to keep a big old car on the road with decent mileage. One improvement on the top of my list is to get a Petronix HEI unit.

I love the Cougar! Probably my 3rd favorite car. First the Mustang, then the Firebird Trans Am pre 1980, and then the Cougar.
I drive a 2008 Lincoln Navigator 4x4 and my wife drives a 1997 SL500 Mercedes. Not really worth pictures
My Mustangs no matter what type or year I have are weekend cruisers, and they never see rain.

My daily driver is a 2005 Dodge Ram15oo. When gas gets to $4.00 I drive my wife's 2005 Pontiac Bonneville. The Mach 1 stays in the garage after rhe first salting of the roads in the fall till spring. It doesn't go out in the rain either, we have two miles of gravel road to the highway.

My daily driver is a 1997 Ford Windstar minivan! We bought it in early 1999 with only 8,000 miles on it. It now has over 202,000 miles on it and keeps on going. I hate to give kudos to a minivan, but this has been the most reliable and trouble free vehicle I have ever owned! I keep hoping it will fall apart so I can buy something else!
