I came across this Mission Beverage Dispenser the other day. Evidently Mission Orange and other Flavors were a hit before the popularity of Coca-Cola pushed them out of business. There is very little information on-line. Anyone collect this type of memorabilia?
I saw something on tv like Pickers or Pawn Stars and old machines can be worth 500.00 or more, especially old Coke and Pepsi machines. But this seems exclusive to collectors to me.
Applied Color Label (ACL) on a 10 oz. soda bottle from the Mission Bottling Co., Klamath Falls, Oregon. Bottle made by the Owens-Illinois Co. Oakland, CA. plant in 1946.
That's pretty cool! Looks like there's room to put a Mach 1 stripe on the front!
Not sure if you drink beer, but looks like the Mission Bottle is about the same size and it would be worth a try to stick some beer in there with your sodas.
I have an old wooden Coke case with 24 Coke bottles set up in the Man Cave as decoration, but the Soda Machine is way more cool.
My wife would kick my ass if I came home with a soda machine! She hates all the stuff I drag home as it is.
When you going to get time to work on that she says, and I say, its not a matter of working on it, its the fact that I have it.
Rare Pony,
Yes, well I only drink Coca-Cola and can only enjoy a sip of that now and then because of diet (diabetes).
Mach 1,
Didn't try to bring it to the house. Shoot I don't even have a garage. I put it in the building I rent for our mission work / church and plan to stock it with the little Coke bottles for the church kids.
Still, all in all, the plan is to some day own a garage and to unite it with my Mach 1. Dreams!

I know what you mean, I'm a type II diabetic also. Only diet sodas for me. I do enjoy a beer on a rare occassion!
