Just wondering if anyone uses any display items or props when they show their car or have you seen any interesting displays.
For my 2004 Wimbledon White Mach 1 I usually sit my AutoArt Die Cast Mach 1 on top of my shaker at shows. I also have a Mach 1 Fact/History Framed Poster I set up next to the car. The I have a die cast model of a yellow Camaro I have sticking out of the exhaust pipe. I tell people it got sucked into my shaker!
I will be showing my 73 Convertible more often now that it is restored so looking for ideas for it. The interior is all original except for the carpet and dash pad, but the driver's seat stiching is coming apart so I sat a large Pillsbury Dough Boy wearing a safety vest in the drivers seat to cover up the bottom of the seat. Most folks seem to like it. I would like to come up with a poster for it too. I also put the 1973 Mustang Brochure inside the windshield on the dash.
I've seen the crying child dolls leaning up against some cars at shows, but I don't care for them! Of course a lot of the 50's and 60's cars have the food tray hanging on the window from the old car hop places.
Post up your thoughts or pics of what you have or have seen.
