While looking for parts for my son's 1971 Maverick we came across this crushing yard here where we reside in northern Mexico. This was enough to make one cry. The yard was in the crushing process of cars impounded by the Federal Police during the 60's and 70's. I got myself in some hot water by asking questions - all I wanted to do was save some parts off this Mach 1!

Well in my opinion the stupidity of anyone that would actually crush one of these cars with usable parts, means they don't know there azz from a hole in the ground. I can imagine in Mexico Mustangs probably are not that sought after.

But man a 351 4V with a 4 speed is stupid to crush!!

I had actually found the car a few months before in the secluded holding yard. At that time it was without a dented panel. Hundreds of cars from Model A's, classics - to highly sought after muscle. Like I said my protest (as a "gringo") went far enough to land me in hot water.
