I'm of the mind that now that I have the car that I've dreamt of all my life, and have it in the shape that I've always wanted it, I'll drive it as often as I want regardless of the price of gas. If I have to give up something else, so be it. Driving on PA and West Virginia mountain roads is my idea of a vacation and my wife enjoys it as much as I do, following me in her Buick GS 455. Livin' the dream!
That also reminds me of last year when I pulled up to a storefront in the Mach 1 and a guy was walking towards the car with his girlfriend. She exclaimed, "Wow! Nice car!" I said thank you and her boyfriend said "I'll bet that's really bad on gas, huh?" I said, "Gas is $4.00 a gallon, wouldn't you pay $4.00 to drive this thing 8 miles".
His girlfriend blurted out, "I would!"
I smiled at him, rested my case and walked into the store.

$4. or $5 doesn't matter if these cars are a passion and you are passionate about them you pay the price because that's what money is for. When you die somebody else will be spending your money so why worry about saving it for them. They'll probably be driving your car too. Live for the Now.

We've just broke the 3 dollar mark. ( Northern Arkansas) About $3.08 a gallon for regular unleaded. Futchin Crooks, six months to a year ago there was an Oil Glut, so much they didn't know what to do with it. Now all the sudden it's starting to look like a moon shot with prices! Where'd all the oil go??? I know they stuck it back in the Ground!!!!!!
Makes just about as much sense, as anything else in this screwed up world lately.

We have just hit £1.45 a litre ( even though we've left the EU we still can't have gallons back
) which works out about $9.00 a UK gallon but as we say its "smiles not miles" per gallon.
