Steve O,

Nice find. I am sure that it took some looking to come up with such a nice Mach 1 over on your side of the pond. What you paying for petrol these days? Southern Arizona cost is just under $3.00 a gallon. Still it is worth every cent when you get behind the wheel. By the way, better keep the one you got! Enjoy.

Thanks Steven, she is nice SSig_agreed I wasn't actually looking for one when I saw it but have always wanted one. When I did see it for for sale I begged, pleaded, grovelled to the wife Rofl (no not really, we just discussed it and she agreed that I should buy it) so I got the money together and did.

Fuel prices are high at the moment. I have just updated this old thread if you want to look. I wish our prices were as good as yours.

Steve O,

Hey thanks. Twenty some years ago I lived is New Zealand and if I remember right we were paying just under NZ $1.00 a litre. Came out to about U.S. $ 2.60 a gallon. I was poor as a church mouse back then so we did a lot of walking. Some day they may come up with cars that don't require the high price of fuel but then I would rather drive my Mach 1!

Steve O,

Just came back to review your Mach 1 again. That and look at Australia scenery. When we lived in New Zealand we were planning to visit Australia - just didn't know we were leaving New Zealand so soon and thought we had time. Still looking forward to getting to Australia some day.

How's the last year of Mach 1 ownership been for you and what's your wife's thoughts now on your investment? Have you been able to drive it and show it off much?

Anyway - nice car!

Hi Steven

I don't get to drive it as much as I want but I make sure I get out at least once a week. It is great and turns heads, always gets great comments from other drivers and pedestrians Wink The wife is all good, she was never against it. Luckily I haven't really needed anything for it but it does make it a bit harder sourcing parts over here especially as it is not one of the earlier 65 - 68 models.

If you ever get over here it would be great to catch up..........likewise I would like to visit the US one day and if I do I would love to catch up with some of you guys. I haven't been a member here long but you seem like a great bunch.
