Man, parts are everywhere. I usually use eBay and Craigslist but if you are looking for new or OEM I'd suggest the National Parts Depot. Visit their website. They have absolutely everything you may need in a replacement part. They have an online color catalog for 1965-1973 Stangs and they will also send you a hard copy upon request.

If you buy stuff from them please come back and give some feedback about your experiences. I would hope everyone would do that so it gives current and future members some heads up on companies that sell parts.

Welcome to the Club. Looks like your Mach is in decent shape to restore. It's usually better to stick with the original color, but it yours so go with the color you like. For my 73 Convertible I bought most of my parts from CJ Pony Parts, Ohio Mustang, and NPD. I also got a few things off of eBay. Have fun with the restro.

Thanks. i've taken in account to what you've said, and i beileve thats true but orange (color id like it to be.) is close enough and should'nt effect it that much. and i'm going to need some body work also on the front right and left metal, but i'm not sure why their seems to be such a great seperation between the hood, door and that peice. any clue?

A great looking starting point! If red is original color I would consider staying with it, same with black interior. Resale red is hard to beat. I've had mixed satisfaction from most parts houses. Many of the reproduction parts are poor quality, poor fitment, and don't look like original parts. Some parts are only produced by one manufacturer so no matter who you buy from it is the same part. A good example is rear window moldings, absolute junk! The only manufacturer is dynacorn so they are all junk. Ohio Mustang Supply has a focus on 71-73 Mustangs and will tell you the truth about the quality of the pieces. Don, the owner, has restored several 71-73 Mustangs and is very helpful. Don't over look your neighborhood parts store as a source for common parts.

Good Luck and Have Fun,
Chuck
