We all know that Top Gear is not just a car program, but a program that delves into the human psyche of the common man. We’re not the complex creatures that most women would have you believe, in fact we’re really the opposite. Give us food, sex and a bunch of cars to play with and for the most part, we can sustain ourselves indefinitely. As automobile enthusiasts it’s no surprise that we all love this show, but did you realize that it also has a worldwide audience of 350 million – I know I didn’t. Steve Kroft of 60 minutes decided to sit down with Top Gear hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May to try and find out exactly what makes this show work and why exactly after 8 years it’s finally turning into a global phenomenon.
