Hi,
Fantastic set of pics! Prompted me to order a Marti Report for mine to find out the finer details of the options it came with and stats on production numbers. Is this yours?

I am restoring mine, it is paint code 4Q - Dark Green Poly, and trim code GR - Med Green Vinyl.

It has been painted white, which is what initially I really liked about it. So there has been a bit if indecision to what colour to restore it to.

Aaron

Hey guys,

SignthankspinLaughingLaughing

Nice to see a few compliments about my baby , i bought it in Michigan last year and shipped it to Europe ( the Netherlands ).

It needed a new floor section because of a leaking cowl.

I had to take of the front fenders to repair the cowl area , it was just a little hole as big as a dime.

Hope i can bolt the fenders back on the car next week , and put the interior back again.

I felt bad to take the fenders of the car, i had to be verry carefull as it has a stunning paintjob.

Car has it's original color, 4F Medium Lime Metallic and looks a lot better when you see it with your own eyes.

The car needs nothing , a bit of detailing on the engine and that's it.
All the original CobraJet parts are there.

Recently i bought a Rimblow steeringwheel on the Bay , i'm restoring it right now.

I will post pictures as soon as i detailed the engine.

( pictures on this site are sellers pictures )

Aaron , did you already find your buildsheet under the front carpet ??
I love buildsheets !! ( some of the 71-73 Stangs had 2 buildsheets in the car , one under the left front carpet , and a 2nd one under the right front carpet )

I also own a 68 Coupe , it has a set of original Mag 500s.
I changed the original dogdish caps for this Mag 500 set.

I changed it back again , i love the old style from these dogdish caps.
you don't see them verry often especialy in the Netherlands.

kind regards,

John Broer

John,

Very nice car! Are you doing the steering wheel restore on your own? Post some pictures of your restoration process for us.

Gotta love how small the world is! I posted some pictures of a Rare and bad ass Mach 1 and the owner comes along!

Hopefully every Mach 1 left on the planet will be here someday!

I love how you guys are digging around here. There are lots of little tidbits like this throughout the site! Glad you guys are finding all this stuff. The negative of a message board is it takes dedication to look around to find stuff. SSig_goodjob

Steven ,

Yes i do the restoration work on the steering wheel all by myself.

I just removed the rimlow switch from the wheel and cleaned the entire wheel ( i did that in the dishwasher "please don't tell my wife Big Grin ).

Now i have to repair some stress cracks in the wheel.

I'll take pictures from the restoration process , and post them for the members to see.

I'll keep you informed,

John

Thanks John,

I would love to know and see your process. There is a local salvage yard that has the remains of a rimblow on a 1970 Cougar in green. They will only sell the whole column ($100). My interior is ginger but I imagine the wheel color can be changed. Anyway, I would be interested in pointers on rebuilding one for my Mach 1.
