Australian Formula 1 driver Mark Webber stacked his Red Bull sponsored F1 car yesterday when he ran into the back of Heikki Kovalainen’s Lotus at 200 mph. Webber’s car launched violently into the air somersaulting upside down. It then hit the pavement, rolled once and slid into the tire barrier at speed. Miraculously Webber walked away sore, but unhurt.
When interviewed by the BBC Webber stated: “It was a nasty incident. I was surprised by what happened. I’m a little bit tender here and there, but the car did a great job.”
