OMG

my husband needs a bra for his car...
never thought it was possible, but the car seems to come first now!
I told him it will look like shit, but he says its even more so when he gives up on removing the flies our silly girl catches.

In our to help him out here.. who has any experience on this things and knows where to get good ones?

(hope nothing comes of this)
(shit he read it.. i really hope you can help us...;)

Personally I think you'll regret it. Ive used bra's a few times in my car life and it always seems to ruin the paint to some degree. I even had a friend that tried only adding a bra to his 06 on long trips, it ruined spots on his paint. There's no way to secure the bra so completely that it doesn't get wind movement causing some damage somewhere., bugs are no doubt hell on the grill, but Id rather have a few bugs than damaged paint.

This is just my experience with bra's someone else might have better recommendations.

The big craze now is the clear bras, but it really only protects the front hood and the front fascia does little to stop the bugs in the grill.

I have a bra for my 04 that came from http://www.colgancustom.com/index.shtml
I only use the part that goes on the hood cause the hood decal seems to be really weak. Sofar I am happy with it and it has saved my decal a couple times. Last year I was following a buddy with a 71 GTO and his sway bar link fell out. I found out it hit my hood cause there was a rip in the bra, saved my hood though.
I think the biggest problem with them is people leave them on all the time, which allows dirt to get under them and rub the paint.

Not sure who you would ever get a older style mustang bra for though.

i am wondering wether its a bra we need.
The most important part is that we wont have to clean of all the bugs from the radiator everytime we have a trip.
A bra seems more for the protection of the metal..
or do i get this wrong?
I think we need some sort of fabric that is spanned over the grill or something. does anybody know where to get those?

A Bra basically will cover the whole front end including a couple inches of the hood. Here is a picture of the piece that goes on my hood

Basically the rest would continue over the front part of the front fenders and cover bumper area. Would do nothing to prevent bugs in the rad.

U might have to make yourself a screen that would cover the rad and attach close to it. Something that you could remove when you don't need it

I''ve used Bras on a 98GT Convert and an 01 Bullitt, plus a bug/stone guard on an 04 Mach 1. I did not have any problems with scuffing but I was careful to keep the paint clean and waxed under the bra, it should be taken off fairly often and cleaned. Not sure about using one on the Classic stangs.

Here are a few pictures.
