This is a late model Mustang question I hope to find an answer to. We have a 2016 Mustang with a V6 and auto trans. It's a daily driver my wife commutes to work with. It is already approaching 60K miles by the time it needs another engine oil and filter change. I want to also service the trans at that time.
Question: In Fords wisdom the only dip[stick is about 3" long and screws into the case where old school dipstick tubes use to fit, rt. front corner. Who makes a dipstick tube and dipstick kit I can install so I am not laying under the car trying to fill and check the fluid with the engine running? I found one from Performance Automatic, has anybody used their stuff because it looks kind of cheap. I believe the trans model is a 6R80. Does Ford have a dipstick and tube for slightly older Mustang that fits?
I guess this is another attempt by Ford to prevent people from doing their own service and repair work.
Thanks for any input.
