This was terrible to witness..miraculously the driver walked away from this accident
with only a broken jaw, missing teeth, and a broken shoulder.

I don't know where this occurred. It looks like that flagman has been on several episodes of Street Outlaws when the Oklahoma City group are racing people from another state.

YIKES! just goes to prove, racing is dangerous, wether it's on the track or the street. At least on the track they don't usually have utility poles. Thank God he's alright bones heal. Definitely looks like the car lacked any kind of real safety equipment of any kind. He needs to Thank God he's still here. WOW

No safety gear . . . I noticed that as well. It looks like they were not even wearing fire suits. At least try to be safe. I don't know what goes through the minds of some people.

I think the worse one I saw was on an episode of Street Outlaws a couple of years ago. I don't know if anybody here watches that series on Discovery channel.

Yeah I watched it as it happened. They had commented many times on the show how the guy who built the roll cage, wouldn't do it if Chief wouldn't let him do it right. After the crash Chief said something to the effect that we was damn glad he'd let him do it right the first time, cause he was pretty sure, the roll cage was what saved his life. There is no substitution for the proper safety equipment. We have a lot of redneck dirt trackers, around here that tried using thinner tubes for their roll bars, and several collapsed, with catastrophic results. The few bucks saved can definitely cost you your life.
