Yeah .15 cents a gallon would be great! i remember gas wars when I was a kid around .24 to .26 cents a gallon. By the time I turned 16 in 1974. I was paying about .49 cents a gallon. Now I'm just glad it ain't $4.00 + a gallon anymore!
Nice flashback picture of you and your car. I remember the gas shortages in 1979. In CT we had odd/even rules for gas. You were only allowed to get gas based on the last number of you license plate. I was only 13 years old at the time but was working pumping gas at my neighbor's gas station. Because of this rule the lines were extremely long because more people needed to get gas.
The pic is at the home / Museum of a private car collector . Our group was given free reign of the place . He had this old gas station relocated there , a old rail road depot and he built 2 buildings for his car collection.
Looks like a Cool place, I especially like the White Avanti, in the first pic. Now I wonder if it's an original, or one of the later Avanti II's ? I love to go into places like that. We have a similar Museum, in Hardy Arkansas. It has tons or old Memorabilia. and probably about 100+ cars from old teens & twenty's all the way up to Muscle Cars, and even some drag cars. Another cool place. Thanks for sharing the pics.

I am guessing the car is the early model , he had nothing modern from what we saw. I would have never known there were so many private collections in the states but the People who put this Road Rally on tell me there in every state and several of them . W are going to Penn this June and there are several there we will get to see . Of all places Amish country.
Yeah Amish Country doesn't exactly sound like the place to find a car collection, since their primary transportation is the horse and buggy...??? I guess all things are subject to change?
