Non tilt steering column
#1
Does anyone have know of any good web sites or have any pics relating to rebuilding a collapsible non tilt steering column,in a 69 mach 1. In regards to what parts i need, as im not sure this unit has all its parts mostly on the lower end.
Any help will be appreciated, all the web sites seem to focus on after market replacement, not much on oem, trying to keep as many original parts as I can.

May also want to check a shop manual.

Often good parts for this type of refurbishment can be found at wreckers. Also can be advantageous to see original installations.

Thanks, Ive seen this article and it was the closest I came too. Ive just ordered a bucket of related parts from Macs and Ill see what fits and what doesnt. I cannot find what seems to be a white plastic collar at the end of the tube which I am missing. I think it may be superseded by a rubber grommet which houses the lower bearing?Undecided

I will keep a lookout for this collar. I am always scouring the internet for something or other.
