OK, did you know that Japanese cops used Mach 1 Mustangs in the '70s? Because I didn't! And I have to wonder how many of these babies were nailing speeders over in the Land of the Rising Sun. This stunning example popped up on
reddit/r/cars earlier today, and I haven't been able to stop staring at it since. According to the 30 seconds of research I did while writing this post, this appears to be a car from the Aichi Prefecture, which happens to be where Toyota's headquarters is located.
I love the minimalist livery--particularly the point at the center of the hood.

I agree that car is really cool. What do you think the chances are they are using 2012 Shelby GT 350 today? Cool find.

It would definitely chase down anything Japan put out in 1973.
It seems odd though that they did not convert it to right hand drive.

I really like it! I would love the two tone with two different colors! I wish it had the back deck spoiler and louvers!!! I love both of them.

Just out of curiosity, I would be interested in knowing what this car would be worth. So, if an authentic Japenese police car (not cloned) as shown in the picture and in the same condition was presented at auction today what value it would bring?
