One would wonder if it wasnt a fastback would it be worth it.

Finally got the floor pan in and fitted. I have read the skepticism of fitting a full floor pan through either a door or window without cutting the floor. Well, I can confirm the floor does fit through the front windshield opening without cutting and with 2 people of course. Almost time to start shopping for a suspension and get the car back on wheels.

Although I didn't attach a photo of the finished work, I finally got the one piece floor fitted and welded in. It was definitely more work than I originally thought but the end result was well worth the investment.
In retrospect. it's hard to believe I picked up this car up off Craigslist for a mere $1,800. I remember driving 250 miles to see the car only to walk away because of the amount of work it needed. Driving back home and reflecting back on the car, I turned around bit the bullet and purchased the car. I remember hauling the car back racing against a New England snow storm and thinking to myself this was the biggest mistake I ever made. Looking back in hindsight I have no regrets.
I am extremely happy with the progress so far and I want acknowledge my friend who has guided me through this restoration process. Thanks man.

Here are some additional pictures of my progress on my 66 fastback restoration. I prepped the floor below the seat riser with red oxide primer and weld through primer then plugged welded the risers to the tunnel and rocker panel first. Then I fitted the seats to check for proper operation moving back and forth. Everything works good so I will finish welding to the floor tomorrow.
A little behind schedule but hoping to have a rolling chassis by Thanksgiving. I was able to purchase about 95% of the suspension and hope to be installing soon. Unfortunately, my day job keeps getting in the way of my progress.

Great job on the restoration!!! I give you props on the welding. I have always wanted to learn and my neighbor said when we get back he is going to give me a few lessons. Great progress on the 66! Just curious if you thought of a color/color-combo you are going to paint it one day?
