Cool story but I hope they weren't racing for titles!

I have no idea what they were racing for. The car was originally delivered to Encino, CA, then sometime made it's way to WA State. I'm trying to get documentation from the 2 states to track ownership. Unfortunately WA only goes back 6 years. I haven't heard back from CA yet. It would be great to actually talk to the early owners of this car.

Keep us updated on your search for the original owner(s). This car certainly has an interesting story behind it and I would like to hear more about it.

My father was in the 82nd during the Korean era. It takes something special to be a paratrooper. I loved and was motivated by the stories he told. Stories of truth, honor, and that a man's word is his bond. Unfortunately Dad passed away 2 years ago. But again takes for your service.

Thanks. I did 26 years in the Army, and I gotta say I never had a unit as close as the paratrooper unit (82nd Airborne.) Just seems like paratroopers stand a little taller and walk a little prouder!
Maybe it's those "Silver Wings" they wear so proudly!

First I want to thank you for your service to our country. Secondly I want to thank you for sharing. It's great to hear from other vets who love Mustangs.
