I'm in franchise finance. I usually have about 10 clients a year that I deal with. I also dabble around in web design and hosting for friends and family. Although I'm not getting rich it is enough to pay the bills. Plus my wife is a retired 33 year elementary school teacher so her pension helps a lot.
When I had my blood clot that almost killed me in 2008 I looked at life a little differently after that. I don't chase money like I once did. I sold all of my toys closed out most of my credit cards, paid off my quads, and paid off one of my houses so now I don't need as much as I once did. Since the economy took a crap for awhile I was forced to reevaluate things differently.
I'm very lucky to have the lifestyle that I do.
I did however once upon a time work to much, drank heavy, smoked to many cigarettes and spent a lot of money. Frankly I like my life much better now, and you guys here on this site are a big part of that! thxs!
Now I don't smoke, don't drink and try to take life with a little more regard than I once did. Life can and will be taken in an instant. Make the best of whatever you have count, and be good to people, it will usually bring you the most happiness, took me 35+ years to learn that.
ok sorry, I can go off on a tangent sometimes......
