Heater Box Question - tngoldwinger - 05-17-2020

I have a 69 Mach 1 without air.
I would like to clean out the inside of the heater box. Can I remove just the front part of the box without taking anything else out? There are two clips on the bottom and a screw on top. Will  those allow just the front of the box to drop down where I can clean it out?
Thanks David

I think your best option will be to remove it, buy a new seal kit for it from someplace like National Parts Depot, clean and basically restore it.  Once you open up something like that, and being 51 years old, it's sometimes hard to find a good stopping point short of restoring.

It's been a lot of years since I replace the sore but I think that will allow you to clean it out.
