DASH LIGHT ISSUE - juli_alex - 01-02-2015

I HAVE A 69 MACH 1 AND HAVING A ISSUE WITH MY DASH LIGHTS NOT GOING ON. CHECK ALMOST EVERYTHING...LOOKING FOR THE LEADED WIRE THATS FEEDS THEM..NEED HELP!

If you still have the original switch it could be a problem with the switch. The rheostat for the dash lights gets corroded and make poor or no contact. You might try rotating the switch as you would dim or brighten the dash lights several times. That may clean enough corrosion off to make contact. I have to do that some times to get mine to work, guess I should get a new switch some time.

If they all went out all of a sudden then I would check the fuse. If they never worked for you then take off dash pad, unplug the plug assembly that feeds the dashboard and check for 12v. Or touch one of the light leads and check for 12v. I had a similar issue when i bought my 69 mach 1. temp and fuel gage did not work as well as half my lights. Turned out part of the circuit board was chewed up and the wrong pins were feeding my temp and fuel gage. repinned it, bought new ckt board and everything worked. I also replaced all the lights for led ones.
