How about antenna, is that an aerial downunder.
I've heard a wrench called a spanner in some UK books
I think a spoked wheel is called a wire wheel in the UK.

I hear the term "in good nick" while watching Wheeler Dealers on Tv. It's a UK based show on buying and fixing up older cars while making a profit.
I assume "in good nick" means "in good condition" in the US.

We use the phrase over here and it is what you assume
