1970 Mach 1 Speakers - rmashmore - 08-31-2010
I recently purchased a 1970 Mach 1. Speakers in the door panels are shot and I want to replace. I don't want to damage the door panel taking it off. What is the easiest way to take off the door panel after all the screws are out? knife or scredriver to pry the clips away from the door?

Id have to say whatever works. Its probably also going to depend on the condition of the clips. If they are old there going to be brittle.

You can unscrew the speakers without taking of the doorpanels.

Hey guys, most tools companies make a simple forked tool to slide under the clip and pull on the clip and not on the door panel itself. Matco Snapon and possibly Sears, if you want the high dollar brands. But they should have them at Autozone, Oriellys or any of the national chain stores.
